Rising rent

The Washington Post

The Washington Post needed engaging visuals to accompany articles on housing market challenges. We made a series of short clips featuring handmade props and a clever concept.

A complex topic like this calls for a simple and powerful approach. We used birds and their birdhouses as a playful metaphor, creating a stylized world for the struggles of renting or buying. Long waiting lists, bidding wars, and overpaying for fixer-uppers, it's brought to life in an easy-to-digest way.

Illustration of the Year

Our visuals stood out, grabbed attention, and made an impact. The quick turnaround and the high-end quality were much appreciated. So much so that the series was staff picked as Best Illustration of the Year 2022! 🚀
